The Quill & Crown is Grace Christian School’s student newspaper, dedicated to covering Grace Christian School Kings, one story at a time. Under the leadership of Editor in Chief, Mrs. Annie Swinson, students in 8th through 12th grade have the opportunity to develop skills in writing, photography, and interviewing-capturing the heart of the school through thoughtful storytelling, engaging articles, and vibrant event coverage.

From reporting on the latest games to spotlighting student achievements and exploring important topics, the paper works to inform, inspire, and connect the Grace Christian community.

Since its beginnings with just two issues a year, The Quill & Crown has grown to three annual publications, with a fourth issue on the horizon. Each edition features news, student life, event coverage, a student-interest question for Mrs. Danko in Quandary & Quill, a Missionary Spotlight article, and creative works, including comics and artwork submitted by students.

The newspaper also partners each trimester with Mrs. Brightwell’s 9th grade journalism class, featuring outstanding interviews and coverage produced by her students.

The Quill & Crown is always looking for new reporters, as well as story ideas, comics, and artwork to feature. Students interested in contributing are encouraged to contact Mrs. Swinson at aswinson@grace-school.net.
