Bill John

Coach John received his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and his M. Div. degree from Eastern Mennonite Seminary. He is the pastor of Providence UMC in Quinton, VA. and he seeks to help people know and grow in their relationship with the triune God. Coach John and his wife Jenny met at the Wesley Foundation at Virginia Tech and they have been blessed with three kids: Billy, Hannah and Owen.

Coach John is passionate for soccer and has been involved in all aspects of soccer in his life. He started playing soccer when he was 5 and has been involved with soccer ever since. He played through his childhood into his early adult years, he refereed for 13 years and has been coaching soccer for the past 18 years. Coach John seeks for his players to learn and grow in their soccer skills, but more than that he hopes they encounter Christ as they practice, as they play, as they learn and as they are in conversations with one another and himself.
